LINK CLICK Season 2 premiere in 2023

LINK CLICK Season 2 will premiere in 2023 as announced during the 2022-2023 MADE BY BILIBILI panel on October 29, 2022.

The exact premiere release window is yet to be revealed, so stay tuned!

A curious key visual and a trailer PV for the supernatural donghua series were revealed at the time. Both appear to be faithful to the LINK CLICK Season 1 style, so it’s to be hoped that the sequel will live up to its predecessor’s excellence.

There’s no reason why it shouldn’t, seeing as Shiguang Dailiren S2 (時光代理人) is once again being produced by Bilibili and BeDream.

Take a look at the LINK CLICK Season 2 trailer PV:

LINK CLICK Season 2 Staff, Cast, and Timeline

As mentioned above, Bilibili and BeDream will be reprising their roles as producers for LINK CLICK S2. The two companies were highly successful with the Shiguang Dailiren Season 1, so fans are impatient to see what they will demonstrate this time.

The rest of the main cast also remains unchanged and includes Studio LAN (澜映画动画制) as a producer, unit director, and chief animation director. LAN has worked on a number of well-known titles before, including but not limited to Xiang Ling Ji (jointly with Haoliners Animation League) and To Be Hero X (Tu Bian Ying Xiong Leaf).

Li Haoling serves as a director and scriptwriter for LINK CLICK Season 2, INPLICK — as the original character designer, while LAN, Huang Simeng, and Xiong Dan are handling character design.

Li Haoling is best known to the fandom as the director of Psychic Princess (通灵, Tong Ling Fei), which is also scheduled for a Season 2… it’s just that there haven’t been any updates since 2018!

LINK CLICK Season 1 saw Haoliners Animation League joining Studio LAN, whereas Zhang Yuxia and Zhu Linzheng handled the storyboard.

As for the VAs, it is conceivable that the Season 1 main cast will be reprising their roles but as of December 2022, nothing has been either confirmed or denied.

LINK CLICK Season 1 featured Su Shangqing as Cheng Xiaoshi and Yang Tianxiang as Lu Guang. Japanese seiyuu were Toshiyuki Toyonaga and Takahiro Sakurai, respectively.  Finally, Alejandro Saab and Zeno Robinson voiced Xiaoshi and Guang in the series’ English dub.

About the Shiguang Dailiren Donghua

LINK CLICK follows Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang, who have unique power. Scilicet, they can enter photographs and travel back in time to the specific time when the photo was taken. One assumes the photographer’s identity while the other guides him in his endeavors.

The LINK CLICK series is high on both emotions and thrills and is a must-see for any serious donghua fan.

If you haven’t seen it yet, take a look at the 2022 Valentine Special PV (Japanese version, for some added thrills):

As for Shiguang Dailiren S1, it ran for 11 episodes from April to July 2021. BiliBili streamed the series as it aired in China, while Funimation made it available to international audiences. The popularity of the series is best reflected in the fact that LINK CLICK S1 also got Korean, Thai, and French dubs.

On August 8, 2022, Crunchyroll premiered a LINK CLICK Season 1 English dub.

In addition to the 11 standard episodes, Shiguang Dailiren has also got an OVA episode and several chibi specials.
